FAQ

  • What forms of payment do you accept?

To secure your appointment, your therapist will contact you and send a payment link through Square. Full payment must be completed within 6 hours of booking. Failure to complete payment within this timeframe will result in cancellation of your appointment.

We accept Visa, Mastercard, and American Express payments in Japanese Yen, with the conversion rate based on the daily exchange rate.

We also accept cash payments in USD or Japanese Yen equivalent.

Please note that card transactions incur a 2.5% surcharge.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

We understand that plans can change; however, we require a minimum of 24 hours' notice for any appointment changes or cancellations.

Appointments canceled, rescheduled, or missed with less than 24 hours' notice will be charged 100% of the reserved service amount.

Clients who do not comply with this policy may be unable to book future appointments with ZenVida Wellness Center.

  • Where should I park?

Please park in one of ZenVida’s designated parking spaces located behind the building. You’ll notice ZenVida flags at the entrance to help guide you.

    Available parking includes:
    • Parking spots #202 (marked with ZenVida signage)
    • Parking spot #3, located just south of the #202 spaces and marked with a flag
    • One additional parking space on the side of the building

Once parked, follow the stairs up to our wellness center on the second floor. If you have any trouble finding us, please don't hesitate to give us a call.

  • How early should I arrive?

Please arrive 5–10 minutes before your scheduled appointment. This allows time for check-in and ensures you receive your full treatment time.

  • Do you offer couples massages?

Yes! We offer couples massages in the same room, allowing you and your partner, friend, or family member to enjoy a relaxing experience together.

Couples appointments are limited and tend to book quickly, so we recommend reserving in advance. To book, please schedule two individual appointments for your preferred massage at the same time and day. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out through Facebook Messenger.

  • Do you offer prenatal massage?

Yes. Prenatal massage can help relieve common pregnancy discomforts such as back pain, muscle tension, swelling, and stress.

We offer prenatal massage for clients between 12 and 36 weeks of pregnancy.

For your safety, please ensure your doctor has approved massage therapy during your pregnancy before booking.

  • Do you sell gift cards?

Yes, we do! ZenVida Gift Cards are available in any amount and can be used toward any of our massage and wellness services.

Gift cards can be purchased in person at ZenVida Wellness Center or conveniently online through this website.

  • Do you use massage oil?

Many of our treatments use our fragrance-free rice bran oil, which is lightweight, gentle on the skin, and suitable for sensitive guests. We also offer organic virgin coconut oil as an optional enhancement.

However, not all of our services use oil. Treatments such as Thai, Shiatsu Massage and Physiotherapy are performed fully clothed and do not require any oil or lotion.

If you have any preferences, sensitivities, or questions about the products used during your treatment, please let your therapist know before your session. We will be happy to recommend the option that best suits your needs.

  • Do your therapists speak English?

es. Most of our therapists have a basic understanding of English, while others speak English fluently.

If additional communication is needed, our therapists are happy to use a translation app to ensure your preferences and concerns are fully understood. We are proud to serve the international and military community in Okinawa, and all of our therapists are continually working to improve their English skills.

Our goal is to make every guest feel comfortable, understood, and well cared for throughout their visit.

  • Do you provide home services?

Currently, we do not offer home services.

  • What should I wear to my appointment?

This depends on the treatment you have booked.

Most massage services are performed using professional draping, and clients may undress to their comfort level.

Shiatsu Massage and Physiotherapy sessions are performed fully clothed, so we recommend wearing comfortable clothing that allows for movement or we can provide a pyjama.

Your therapist will explain everything before the treatment begins.

  • Is it normal to feel sore after my massage?

Yes, mild soreness after a massage can be completely normal, especially following deep tissue or therapeutic treatments.

Some clients experience soreness immediately after their session, while others may notice it 6–24 hours later. This is often referred to as delayed-onset muscle soreness (DOMS) and can last for a day or two as your body adjusts and recovers.

Staying hydrated, getting plenty of rest, and gentle stretching can help reduce any post-massage soreness.

If you have any concerns about how you're feeling after your treatment, please don't hesitate to contact us.

  • Are your therapists licensed?

Yes, they are. Our therapists are experienced professionals trained in a variety of massage and wellness techniques. Each treatment is tailored to your individual needs, whether you're seeking relaxation, pain relief, improved mobility, or overall wellbeing.

We are committed to providing a safe, professional, and personalized experience for every guest.

  • Will cupping leave marks on my skin?

Possibly. Cupping therapy may leave temporary circular marks on the skin, which are a normal response to the treatment and are not bruises.

The color and intensity of the marks vary from person to person and depend on factors such as circulation, muscle tension, and the area being treated. These marks are typically painless and usually fade within a few days to two weeks.

Your therapist will discuss the treatment with you beforehand and answer any questions you may have about the process.
